Hayward
Hayward has a great mixture of residential and industrial areas, with rich diversity among its multi-generational residents. Here you’ll find college students mingling downtown, nature-lovers taking a stroll on the shoreline, and solid group of longtime locals holding down the fort at Emil Villas Restaurant.
Don’t even get me started on how many one-of-a-kind eateries you can find just around any corner. My favorites things about Hayward have always been taking in panoramic views of the Bay from my aunt and uncles back deck (catching some fireworks if we’re lucky), and heading up to Cal State East Bay to watch some Pioneer baseball.
